What clients usually want to know before starting a project with Allogic.
Who owns the code you produce?
The client. Every system Allogic builds is the client's intellectual property — source code, data, trained models, and documentation. No vendor lock-in, no royalties, no clauses that keep you tied in. This is central to our boutique approach: your asset, your decision.
Who will I talk to during the project?
The engineers who design and write the system. No account manager in the middle, no layers, no tier-1 escalation that never resolves anything. Status updates come directly from people working on the code. Call, WhatsApp, email — the answer comes from someone who knows.
How do you define scope and pricing?
Every engagement starts with a paid 1- to 2-week diagnostic to validate the hypothesis, size the problem, and estimate ROI. If the math works, we proceed with fixed scope and fixed price per phase. We don't work on open-ended hourly contracts.
Do you use generic AI models or train from scratch?
It depends on the problem. For many cases, the right architecture is a frontier foundation model (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) combined with RAG, fine-tuning, or agents. For others, training a proprietary model on the client's data is the way. The decision is technical, made during diagnosis, and always justified by ROI and risk.
What if AI isn't the right answer for my problem?
We say so clearly. In a sizable share of the projects we evaluate, the conclusion is that AI won't solve it — the problem is in process, data, or product. When that's the case, we point to alternatives (traditional automation, system integration, custom software without AI) and close the diagnostic honestly, even if it means not selling the project.
Do you work with sensitive data and data protection compliance?
Yes. Healthcare, insurance, and financial services are a meaningful part of our portfolio. We handle LGPD, GDPR, and security by design from the architecture phase — not as a layer added later. We work with the client's DPO or take on the data controller role when appropriate. International transfer, retention, right to human review, DPIA — all in scope.
